Appreciate the Alps

Appreciate the Alps is designed for cyclists who want to sample alpine culture from the bike. Each day consists of approximately 50-85km with only one major climb. We have plenty of time to sit and enjoy a relaxed lunch and to discover our daily destination.

The five-day tour starts and ends in the lakeside city of Lausanne on Lake Geneva. We start off through Switzerland to the medieval fortress town of Gruyères before looping back to Villeneuve, close to Montreux. The next days takes us to Chamonix, then Sixt-fer-à-Cheval before descending to Evian. From there we take the ferry across the lake back to Lausanne. Passes during the week include Col de la Forclaz and mighty Joux Plane!

Arrival is on Sunday and the hard work begins on Monday. Geneva airport is the most convenient place to fly to, although you may also arrive by train. We'll pick you up and drive you to the hotel in Lausanne, where we'll have a quick briefing and unpack and build the bikes. Any bike bags or cases will be taken to our storage for the week. Departure is on Saturday after five days on the bike!
